Translucent glass transmits light.  That light is transformed as it passes through the colored glass.  Opaque glass does not allow much light to be transmitted through it.  But glass also reflects light and more opaque glass lightens under reflected light.  By combining translucent glass, opaque and various combinations in between, we can create glass designs that change dramatically with the interior as well as exterior light  (scroll down for more information)
